Workshops, Classes & Professional Development Training

Think-Motion offers a range of programs in the creative arts to people of all walks of life, focusing on what it means to be human in an expressive body. We offer powerful workshops and classes in a wide range of settings. We have conducted work in corporations, prisons, universities, community centers, art centers and schools.

Our workshops focus on the human experience and what it means to move and engage within a community.  The work of Think-Motion reinvigorates what we have instinctively understood for a long time; namely that physical expression within a community offers positive lasting outcomes.  It reveals the artistry in all of us, awakening the inherent delight of creativity and a reprieve from stress.

Think-Motion explores the intense energy of life, taking expressive form through gesture, shape and motion.  We bring techniques from Somatic Experiencing™ (a body-based system for addressing trauma), dance, theater, improvisation and ritual.  Dr Susan Bendix, Think-Motion's founder, is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner™.

Workshops include:

·      Movement improvisation

·      Site specific choreography

·      Moving through Loss – (for those experiencing loss or grief)

·      Team building for organizations

·      Dance for seniors

·      Dance for Parkinson’s

·      Dance and theater in prisons

·      Arts in healthcare facilities
